O rapper e produtor Kanye West recebeu sete indicações ao MTV Video Music Awards deste ano. Kanye lidera a lista de indicados do sexo masculino com os vídeos de All of the Lights e Power, além de uma indicação pela sua aparição no vídeo E.T. de Katy Perry.

West concorre em categorias como 'Melhor Vídeo de Hip-Hop', 'Melhor Vídeo de Artista do Sexo Masculino' e 'Melhor Parceria'. Eminem aparece logo atrás, com três indicações.


O astro de Detroit concorre nas categorias 'Melhor Vídeo de Artista do Sexo Masculino', 'Melhor Direção' e 'Melhor Fotografia' (Love the Way You Lie).

Tyler the Creator, Wiz Khalifa e Big Sean foram indicados ao VMA pela primeira vez na carreira. Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj e Pitbull também receberam indicações.

O VMA será realizado no dia 28 de agosto, em Los Angeles.
